Hush Kit – by mixing the really hot exhaust gases with colder air to help to suppress the noise coming out of the older engines by increasing the frequency to cancel out the load sounds, it’s connected to the exhaust duct
Mixed Exhaust Turbofan – let’s out two gas streams into the air, the cool fan air and the hot gases being pushed through the turbine
Aerodynamic Blockage Reverser – uses thin airfoils or obstructions placed in the gas stream; uses a combination of aerodynamic-blockage and the mechanical-blockage type reversers
Clamshell reverser – changes the direction of the airflow of the exhaust gasses from the back towards the front
